What’s a Weamer?
All My Sons of Jacksonville found out there’s a new term out there in the home owning world. Ebico, the UK’s only nonprofit energy company defines a ‘weamer’ as someone that wastes energy and money. They recently released a study that claims over 60% of British households argues over wasting energy and therefore money, in the home. In the UK, the majority of respondents, actually 78%, declared their home was occupied by at least one energy-waster. 23% of those blamed their mates and 15% blamed themselves. The solution to the weamer-driven fights is to become more energy efficient. Ebico’s managing director reminds us that “turning the thermostat down by one degree can save 10% on an annual energy bill.” The local Jacksonville movers remind weamers that they can switch out lightbulbs, start a little garden, turn off the lights when no one’s home and so on. There are plenty of ways to conserve energy, be green and be good to the planet. Every little bit counts and with good habits come co-habitating pleasures.
